Electron Microscopy Laboratory

The Electron Microscopy Laboratory provides service, training and facilities required to carry out electron microscopy (EM) of a variety of biological* and non-biological samples. The primary roles of the Laboratory are:

  • to provide EM equipment, service and technical expertise to research projects carried out by investigators from the University and Statewide
  • to provide education and training of students in the theory and practice of electron microscopy via regularly scheduled courses offered by the department of Physiology and Neurobiology and through independent student research

*We do not accept any unfixed tissues or cells of human or primate origin or any material suspected to contain agents infectious to humans.
